Ghajini Music Review

GHAJINI MUSIC REVIEW
Firstly, this album should not be compared to Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi. It is for a different audience and is different in style. The music is by A R Rahman and lyrics are by Prasoon Joshi.

Guzarish – We all heard this song in the promos. This does not disappoint. Rahman is on form with this song. We know that this is a love song. The music is soothing and the lyrics work on you after a while. Although the lyrics are not that special, the visuals that were seen in the promo will make this song special. The music itself is great and there is no doubt about that. Javed Ali does well with the song.
My verdict: This will work with audiences, the promo for the song has already been appreciated. Surely will be a chartbuster and I love the song.

Aye Bachchu – This song is rather modern. It is different and Suzanne does well in singing this song. As this is the first time I have heard such music, I have to say it is foot tapping and I do enjoy it. I can't tell how this will work with the movie. So this will be a surprise. Rahman is brilliant again and he is experimenting and I appreciate that. Lyrics again are fairly average.
My verdict:
This song will take its time to grow on you but it surely does. I could not understand what was being said at first but you kind of get the hang of it. It is an average track and should work. Again, it might work well with the visualisation.

Kaise Mujhe
– This is another love song and I love the way it starts. Benny Dayal and Shreya Ghoshal sing this song. I love Shreya's voice, she is perfect as usual. Benny Dayal does justice to music that is excellently created by Rahman. I feel at times that Benny could sing a little louder. The music is pleasing to the ears as it is slow and this song will only get better with the visuals. This song does take time to grow on you. The lyrics are pleasing at times.
My verdict: With visuals this song will grow and grow. It is sweet and soulful. This song is for the romantics and I personally enjoy it. Lyrics are nice too.

Behka
– The promo for this song has just released with Aamir sporting six different looks. I love this number which is fun and enjoyable. It is one of those songs you just sit back and relax. The visuals as we know are brilliant. The song grows on to you. Karthik sings well, nothing great at first but then grows on to you. The lyrics are again very average but the tune does become catchy. Rahman does really well with this song. When the music paces up in the middle, it is great. It is my favourite part of the song.
My verdict: This will definitely work and with the visuals it will create a strong impact. The music is what stands out for this song. This will be a chartbuster.

Latoo Latoo
– Shreya Ghoshal is again amazing in this song. She only is getting better. This song is for the clubs. The tune is catchy and foot-tapping. The lyrics are great for this song. Shreya shows her versatility with this song. Rahman creates excellent music for this song. I really like it and it grows on you at the very least on the second listen. The visuals will definitely help this song and this should be the next song that the makers should use for a song promo.
My verdict: This song will work and will be a chartbuster. I love this song and I am sure it will work with the audience. Again, it is the music that stands out and Rahman is a genius.

Kaise Mujhe (Instrumental) – If you just want to hear the music with no lyrics to this song, it is a total treat. I really enjoy it and it is worth listening to. Sit back, close your eyes and allow the music captivate you.

Overall verdict:
I feel this album is very commercial but different. It will take time for it to settle and after the film releases it should do really well. Critics will praise this and it should be praised. Comparisons will be made with Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi but that would be useless. They are both very different and both are great soundtracks. There are similarities such as both are fairly short albums and will take time for the listener to enjoy it. Guzarish, Kaise Mujhe, Bekha and Latoo Latoo will surely work for the majority of the audiences.
This is not Rahman's best music score but it is appreciative. It should do well. I do prefer Jaane Tu Ya Jaane Na but that was a different film to this. I hope that the music justifies itself with the film. Lyrics by Prasoon Joshi are fairly average and could have been done better. However, give the album a few tries and the music will grow on you!
Rating: 6/10

FIRST PREVIEW! Paralysed in Evil

Hey Readers, I hope you enjoy the first preview to the next novel that I am writing. Please give me your feedback on this on the comments sections below!

Sometimes you can wonder what it is like to be normal. Being normal is said to be unique. The more unique I become, does that mean I am more normal? Or becoming more normal? The more I look into my world, the more uniqueness I see. The oneness of my world, it surely has become unique. I stand here, the rain dripping off my face, my eyes squinting to see what lies in front of me. Just as my eyes are trying hard to focus on what is in front of me, my mind is trying just as hard to cope with the pain I feel right now. This pain that leads straight to my heart, but this powerful rage engulfs my soul. This power that I have always searched for has finally been broken free, that power that was contained within me for a long, long time. How can I allow this to happen? I am going to allow this to happen, it is my life. I do what I please, as I please, whenever I please. As my mind speeds into change, I think about what I have witnessed. What am I going to do about this? This is what I cannot understand.

I am sick and tired of these two lives. Be good at home and then a monster at work. I wasn't a monster at work though, I don't think I was anyway. I didn't do anything wrong. I just gave loans out illegally! Oh wait...I lent people money and they gambled on horses. I got commission from it but that doesn't make me a bad man. I did it all for my family. My family that apparently loves me. Hmm loved me. This dark night is just what my family is going to be, what my wife is going to be. A dark past. A dark but distant memory.

This bench is soaking wet, I can feel my trousers sticking onto it, I hate it when that happens. It annoys me. It creates this anger that flows so freely in my blood now. I cannot explain yet what has caused all this. Do I even want to share it with my own self? I need to go for a walk, this bench, this wet bench, soaked with rain is irritating me. This park is so dark, full of silence. Silence is in the air, I can see a dim light. A dim light, that is what my wife is now to me. A dim light. Everything is finished. However, as everything finishes, another life is about to start. Another life is about to merge with my soul. That is what I do best. I am a criminal. I support the criminals, I give them money, I promote them, this is my job. The very job that has took me away from my family. The very job that created distances in my own mind. How did all this happen? I question this mind so much but what is the need for questions? I have to accept what is in fate for me. These trees, how calm they look, at times I wish I was like a tree. Calm, enjoying nature, watching the beauty of the sky at night. All I have has gone from my life. All of it. I feel like laughing hysterically, my mind is everywhere. I cannot concentrate on what I want to do, or what emotions to give out. The flashbacks keep playing in my mind. My world is spiralling in front of me, a beautiful sight but the outcome is not so good. The outcome is that my world becomes dark and lonely. I did so much for my family, for my wife and son. What didn't I do that was right? I can't understand what I did to get deceived like this.

Me, I am the most ruthless criminal out there and I get deceived. By my own people. My very own people deceive me. What should I do? Clap my hands in joy? Haha. How ironic is it that the very own people that you love, they hurt you so much that all the pain turns into a power that is beyond any human measurement. This power that surrounds me on this open park field. I raise my arms and feel the intoxication of this power consume me. This power that flows through the veins of my heart and silently touches my heart, it slowly...slowly...slowly takes over my heart. My eyes...they feel heavy, the energy makes me lose all control of my senses.

Silence...silence...silence...not one sound can be heard except for the breaths that I inhale and exhale. This power is flowing in each and every vein, in every vessel of my body, it has captivated my heart. As this power pumps through my body it reaches my mind. Two seconds of complete unconsciousness invades my life as the power hits my brain with great strength. As my eye lids slowly open, slightly heavy at first but they get lighter and lighter, it is a feeling of tranquility. My eyes concentration is on the tree that is directly opposite me. I take a deep breath in, it feels different, my body feels different, my vision is different. I am different. This is not me now. This is not what I usually feel, I am in complete control. As I look around now, this tree looks dark, it's different. This dark sky, is what is exactly in my mind. It is dark, my mind is full of fatalistic ideas. Ideas that can create havoc in this world. This night cannot get worse, it can only get better. This is my night, where I should rise up to my challenge. I want to be the biggest criminal but not any normal criminal. I want to do something different, I want to infiltrate information to make me achieve whatever I desire. What I desire is complete satisfaction in life and there is only one way. One way to reach this destination. One way to reach the very outcome of my aspiration to create a world of my own. A world with my rules. Every villain in this world wants world domination, I want domination in my world from now on. No more being nice to people. This time it is about my true colours, I will show them my true colour. This one colour that has lead me to become one with myself.

This oneness that has now took over me...has created one outcome and that is when two worlds come together as one. It leads to one powerful entity and that is the energy and persona of evil. I am Sameer and this is my story on how I became one with the power of evil.

Rab Ne Bana DI Jodi Theatrical Trailer!

Hi Readers,

The theatrical trailer is up for Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi. All I can say it is a blockbuster in the making. Although the trailer does not show much about the story, you still cannot guess the storyline. You do see love, happiness, dance, music, smiles, comedy, pain and tears.
You know that SRK works for a company called Punjab Power, his name is Surinder Saini. Then you seen Anushka. Once you see Anushka, you hear that Suri has fallen in love with her. They go out, you see they are in the cinema. She is laughing and Suri does not find whatever is on the cinema screen to be 'funny' and looks at her surprised.
This leads to the 'Raj' get up which is obviously Suri, you can tell SRK is going to surprise from there. You see the bits of the 'Phir Milenge Chalte Chalte' song and you see Suri fighting a sumo wrestler. You can tell this is full entertainment.
Suddenly you see pain and tears and know we can only assume what it is about and we have to wait till the 12th December to see it. However, it is obvious that this film will be a complete entertainer and has what it takes to be a blockbuster. Please click the link below to watch the theatrical trailer online.

Understanding the person you love!

Hi readers, I am going to answer some questions as a writer, as a person how do I feel towards these things. Here is an insight into the way I think about these subjects.

Why do we react in such ways that we regret later because we didn't understand our partners, our family or our friends?
Reactions are the most important actions we do. The way we react towards problems, sad moments, happy moments or any emotional moment. At times, I think about the when I have a fight or a misunderstanding with someone, I tend to ignore the person. However, my intention is not to ignore the situation but to stay away from further problems. One little wrong doing can be rather regretful for ourselves. I've always said sorry first if I am in the wrong. I think that is the best way to sort things out. It does not matter about who says sorry, the fact is apologising is a very humbling action to do. Personally, it keeps my arrogance and ego in control. As part of the understanding bit...do we understand the people we love? Do we even understand ourselves?

Why do we feel lonely despite knowing we are loved?
This question is rather interesting. Being lonely is not a good thing and there must be a lack of understanding with the love we receive. It is not that we want to feel lonely, it just happens. There are times when I feel lonely but it is a state of the mind. We bring it onto ourselves more than other people bring it onto us. Maybe you feel lonely because you feel a loved one doesn't understand you? Or that they don't tell you that they love you or your partner doesn't express their love to you or is not romantic with you. That may not even be what we should be questioning! What we should be questioning is have we understood the person that we love the most? I often think that as a writer, if my character is feeling lonely, it is because that character wants to feel lonely. You cannot feel lonely with a crowd of people, there is bound to be a person that has a similar personality. To get out of this state of being lonely, go to the person that you love and feel that you are connected, in fact become connected.

Why do we 'withdraw' from the people we love the most?
This leads from last line from the previous question. Despite feeling connected to the people we love, can we still withdraw ourselves? I think it is possible. I do it sometimes. I do not withdraw in the sense, I am away from that person. I am still with that person but I withdraw into my own mind and try to understand the person. We tend to withdraw when something does not go our way. We do this because we have to analyse the situation or the matter, or because we just want to release our anger and frustration. If a loved one wants to do something that goes against what we expect or believe, do we withdraw and think about it? Yes, I do. As a person I do it so I can understand the person and their state of mind. However, I find withdrawing from the person you love, does not really bring any positive results. It is something I need to change, so my message for myself and for you is: Don't withdraw...be open with the people you love!

Why do we stop understanding our own dreams despite having support from your partner/loved ones?
Nothing can stop you from understanding your own dreams, if it does then it is only your fault...do not try and blame others. I am lucky. I admit it. My loved ones support me in my dreams. It is so great having a best friend who wants to market your blog and is willing to spend their time and effort in doing so. It is great having your soul-mate support you and your dreams, and makes you believe that your dreams are only a second away from reality. So why should we stop understanding? We are not alone in our quests. There are always people in this world that give genuine, unconditional support. Use them as you would use yourself. Do not mistreat anybody (friend or foe) as this obstructs your dreams. Your dreams are always to do something good for yourself and for the people you love. That is what personally keeps me going. I know my loved ones love seeing me write, reading what I write and giving me feedback. This gives me strength to carry on. Trust me, everyone is loved. If not, then come to me and I will love you and restore faith and understanding in your dreams

Why don't we understand the person we love?

This is one question which kind of concludes all the questions. They all stem from this one question. I have to say this; if you don't understand the person you love, then you do not understand love. Sometimes, yes the person we love asks or says something we dislike. Yet, do we need to react so rudely at times? No we don't, think before you say anything or react to anything and try to understand that person. Ask questions, that is what we are scared of today...asking questions. The more we ask, the more we learn and understand. Also, sometimes we don't get what we want because our loved one doesn't understand why we need or want to do it. Don't misunderstand their intentions. They always think best for you but always make yourself clear. Sometimes, it is hard for them to adapt and change, but then do we adapt and change for them? If we don't then how can we expect them to change and adapt for us. It comes down to understanding in any relationship, it is always two-way feeling. The more two-way it is, the more understanding there is. Be open, tell the people you love that you love them. Life can bring so many happy moments but it is you that needs to bring it! So go on and understand the person you love. If you have understood them...then simply say 'I love you' all the time!

Please give me your feedback on this and how you feel that you can adapt it in your life. Thanks for reading.

Lots of love,
Rahul N. Singh
